Baarent L. Biesemeyer (aka "BZ") born September 24, 1930 passed away peacefully on October 31, 2011. Born in Kirkwood, MO. Moved with his family to Tucson, graduated from Tucson High in 1948. After receiving a BS from the UA in 1952, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the US Army. Graduated 1st in his class at Signal Corps Officers' Basic Course and served as a Signal Corps instructor at Ft Monmouth, NJ. In 1954 he married Margaret Laubscher. Following his Army service, he moved back to Tucson in 1955. He returned to the UA, earning a MS degree in Electrical Eng. Employed by Hughes Aircraft Co. for over 30 yrs. Survived by his beloved wife of 56 yrs, Margaret; five children (spouses), 11 grandchildren, sister and brother. A devoted family man that also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and woodworking. An avid UA basketball and football fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Casa's Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Rd. reception following. Dress is casual, UA red, plaid colors or bolo ties.
