Rev. Bishop Frederick DeLand Leete was the son of Menzo Smith and Hannah Amelia (DeLand) Leete. He was the husband of Jeanette "Nettie" Gertrude (Fuller) Leete. They were married July 28, 1891. Jeanette died October 4, 1952. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church/The Methodist Church: Northern New York Conference 1889 F 1891 Genesee ( Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference by transfer 1898 Central New York Conference by transfer 1903 Detroit Conference by transfer 1906. He was elected Bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1912.
