Nancy A. Conti-Palumbo born on February 9, 1924, in Clovis, Ca. passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011. Nancy graduated from Clovis High School, went to work in a pasta factory, got married and began her career in the restaurant business working and managing some of Fresno's finest restaruants. She was known for sharing her love of cooking and those that had the honor of tasting her food will tell you, she truly was the best Italian cook.
Her family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Horizon Health Center for their care and friendship provided during her stay.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Maria Conti; her husband, Jim Palumbo, Sr.; her sister Pauline Lucia and her husband James.
Nancy is survived by her two children, Jim Palumbo, Jr. and his wife Kathy, and Sharon Palumbo-Martinez; brother, Frank Conti and his wife Delores; sister-in-law, Anita Palumbo; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished and loved very much. In addition to family she will be greatly missed by the many friends she has made along the way.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the residence of Horizon Health Center, 3034 E. Herdon Ave., Fresno, Ca 93720.
