Barbara Ann Tallent Gibson, age 61 of Alcoa, Tennessee, born November 21, 1948, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Preceded in death by her infant daughter, Christina Diana Allen; parents, Gordon and Gladys Tallent. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, April and Jody Elmore of Maryville, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Tammy Allen of Maryville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cody McGill and Austin Elmore of Maryville, Tennessee, Zachery Allen, Caleb Allen, Logan Allen, and Hannah (Bree) Allen of Maryville, Tennessee; brothers and sister-in-laws, Tommy and Mary Ann Tallent of Maryville, Tennessee, Ronnie and Carolyn Tallent of Maryville, Tennessee, Terry and Jenny Tallent of Maryville, Tennessee, Mike and Vicky Tallent of Maryville, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Jim Payne of Texas; special niece, Kelley Tallent Manning of Maryville, Tennessee; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special friends, Gail Hawkins of Maryville, Tennessee, Brenda Tyler of Maryville, Tennessee, Rosalie Webber of Maryville, Tennessee, Peggy Brendle of Friendsville, Tennessee, David (Chance) Johnson of Maryville, Tennessee. Barbara attended Armona Baptist Church of Alcoa. She had a smile that would light up a room; she will be sadly missed by family and friends. Family and friends will meet Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Little Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service with the Reverend Bob Lawson officiating.
