Mulberry--Nora May Steele, 73, formerly of Mulberry, died at 12 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 1983 in Stigler, Oklahoma.
She was born Sept. 23, 1909 in Ardath, Mo., to Benjamin O. and Nellie Ann Guss McCormick. She went to school in Mulberry.
She married Christian DeVore on January 6, 1932 and he preceded her in death.
She was then married to Charles Wesley Steele in Girard on June 4, 1946. Mr. Steele preceded her in death on February 19, 1981.
Mrs. Steele is survived by three sons, Larry C. Steele of Stigler, Marvin DeVore, Oklahoma City, and Fred DeVore, Red Oak, Texas; two sisters, Mary Pasini, Mulberry, and Dorothy Tottman of Arcadia; two brothers, Edward McCormick, Elwood, Nebr., John McCormick, Pittsburg; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
