Death was prior to the opening of Union Cemetery but it is not known where Susan was buried before being moved to this location. Cemetery records were destroyed when a fire burned the sexton's cottage in 1889.

Gravestone was barely legible during the inscription survey done in 1986 but after gentle cleaning it was partially legible during the photographic survey done in 2011.
