Edward A. Groskreutz, 82, Rt. 1, Westfield,- died Saturday, Apr. 28, 1990 at Montello Care Center, Montello.

He was born Aug. 27, 1907 in Newton Township, the son of Edward August and Ida (Splittigerber) Groskreutz. He farmed all his life in the Town of Newton and worked for the Marquette Co. Hwy. Dept. He was also a truck-driver for Green Bay Foods.

He married the former Leona Krueger on Dec. 9, 1931, and she preceded him in death in Mar. of 1964. He then married Leda Kromrie on Sept, 11, 1971.

He had served as a member of the Newton Town Board for many years, a director for the Westfield Creamary, as well as being a long-time active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Harrisville.

He is survived by his wife, Leda, Westfield; 2 sons - Edward (Sharron), Mauston and Robert -{Susan), Cottage Grove; 3 step-daughters - Elizabeth Niemuth, Wautoma, Margaret ((Glen) Haufe, Wild Rose and Linda Schisel, Oshkosh; 1 step-son, Daniel (Marlyn) Sauer, Omro; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 - brothers - William (Leona), Westfield, Edwin (Ellen), Westfield, Mabert (Mildred), Wautoma, and Arden (Bernice), Princeton; 2 sisters - Lena Marquart, Montello, and Laura Tagatz, Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his first wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Gordon E. in Feb., 1962, and his parents.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Harrisvil1e at 11 a.m. on Tue., May I, 1990. The Rev. James E. Seim of Harrisville officiated. Burial was in the HarrisviIle Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service were: Marvin and Jerome Zuelke, Chester Semrow, Arlie and Marvin Marquart, and Eldon Grosskreutz. Steinhaus Funeral Home of Westfield handled arrangemenls for the family.
