Funeral rites for Mrs Fred (Emma Mae)
Blackwell, 85, of Shelbyville, were
held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, Jan 20, in
Howe & Yocky Funeral Home, Shelbyville,
with the Rev. Wayne Arganbright officiating.
Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Blackwell died at 2:30 am, Friday,
Jan 18, 1980 in Pana Community Hospital.
She was born in Vincennes,Ind., Mar 22,
1894, a daughter of James and Martha Brim.
Mrs. Blackwell was retired from Johnston's
Supermarket, Shelbyville, after 29 years.
She married Fred Blackwell in 1912. He died
in 1947.
Surviving are sons, James Norman Blackwell,
Pana, Fred, Shelbyville; daughters, Mrs. John
(Marie) Reeder, Shelbyville, and Mrs. Curtis
(Pansy) West of Mathis, Tex.; 12 grandchildren
and 19 great-grandchildren. Two brothers
preceded her in death.
