Roger was born April 1, 1931 in Louisiana, Missouri to Roy Lee Jones and Vina Pearl Turnbaugh Jones.
He married Wanda Sue Burbridge, November 28, 1958 at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Louisiana
Roger is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Burbridge of the home, a granddaughter, Kaitlin Jones of Kansas City, Missouri, a niece, Sherry McFarland of Kansas City, Missouri and a cousin, Lori Schreck of St. Charles, Missouri.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Lee Jones who passed away July 27, 2005 and a daughter in-law, Laurinda Jones who passed away April 2, 2008.
Roger had been employed as a Mail Clerk for the U. S. Post Office in Louisiana for 34 years before retiring in 1989.
He was a veteran, serving with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Louisiana, Elk's Lodge 791, American Legion Post 370 and the Louisiana Boat Club.
Honorary pallbearers are; Benny Fancher, Joe Cook, Robert Kilby, Robert Gast, Jr. and Paul Morton, Jr. Active pallbearers are: Jim McFarland, Steve Schreck, Brian Ray, John Dillender, Chick Branstetter and Joe Henderson.
Memorials may be given to the Elk's Scholarship Fund, Pike County Home Health & Hospice or to the Donor's choice.
