Waldeen Jeffs Adcock, 89, of Danville (formerly of Shelbyville), died Thursday Nov. 3rd 2011. Born February 1, 1922 in Shelby County Kentucky, she was a 1940 graduate of Henry Clay High School (Clay Village, Shelby County), a graduate of Spencerian Business College and a member of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville. She worked as a receptionist/bookkeeper for several years but completed her career as the "Welcome Wagon" Lady of Shelbyville and Shelby County for 18 years. She was a true people person and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her daughter Judy C. Adcock Ritter. She is survived by her granddaughter Stephanie Day (Raymond) Kilby of Danville, son-in-law R. Byrd Ritter of Frankfort and her four great grandchildren; Raygan, Tucker, Addi, and Zoie Kilby all of Danville. The funeral service will be 2pm on Tuesday at Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Monday at Shannon�s Funeral Home in Shelbyville, KY.
