Thelma Whitney Bunker, 59, of Mapleton, died Thursday, June 29, 1989, of Lou Gehrig's disease. She was born November 25, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of Harvey A. and Vida Thayne Whitney. She married LeGrande E. Bunker June 30, 1948, in Springville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She is survived by her husband of Mapleton; four sons and two daughters, Randy L. Bunker, Provo; Lynn W. Bunker, Orem; Bart D. Bunker, Springville; Bradley W. Bunker, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Randy (Laureen) Peterson, American Fork; Mrs. Tad (Amy) Peterson, Springville; 19 grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Douglas Whitney, Springville; Mrs. Howard (Shirley) Nibley, Brigham City; Mrs. Vic (Faye) Austin, Springville; Mrs. Lee (JoAnn) Davis, Provo. She was preceded in death by a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
