He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age.
Dwayne graduated from Lanier High School in Austin, Texas.
He united in holy matrimony to Jacqueline Denise Jackson for 30 years and to that union a son, Dwayne E. Jackson Jr. was born.
Dwayne was employed by Austin Energy and retired after 25 years of service. In 1995, he was presented an award from the East Austin Youth Association for "Outstanding Leadership and Dedication".
Through joy, laughter, energy and a gentle smile, he touched many lives. He was confident, caring, dependable and truly had a heart of gold. For those who knew him knew he was very direct and had no trouble speaking his mind. He was loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. He had a love for fishing, hunting and was a big advocate for sports.
Dwayne departed us to be at rest and reunite with his wife, mother, father and grandparents.
He leaves to celebrate and rejoice in his memories his son: Dwayne E.Jackson Jr. (Margaret); three grandchildren: Dwayne E. Jackson III, Denise Jacqueline Jackson and Imunique Jackson; four brothers: Travis Jackson Jr., Stanley Jackson, David Jackson, Anthony Jackson and a host of nieces,nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous friends.
