Husband of Lucy (born King) Shaner (1843 - 1905);

and

Father of Lenore Esther Shaner (1878 - 1894).

John Biery Shaner fought for the Union during the Civil War. He fought with his brother, Henry H. Shaner, in the 121st Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry, Company A. He was wounded at the Battle of Fredericksburg, and was discharged on 6 Apr 1863.


NOTE: John is buried in the military section, but his grave does not have a headstone. Maybe family members could apply for one?
