She was born Nov. 4, 1918, in St. Clair, the daughter of the late Henry and Louise Mayhew. She was a lifelong area resident.
She was an avid bingo player and had been a bookkeeper for Beatties IGA in Marine City for 17 years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary A. and Sandra Miller and a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Justin McCartney, all of Marine City; three grandchildren, Brianna Miller, Tammy Sampier, and Tracey Hart; one great-grandchild, Chelsey Sampier; a brother-in-law, Fred Ingles of St. Clair; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Distelrath and Norma Ingles.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bower-Rose Funeral Home in Marine City. The Rev. Alfred Sadler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Clair.
Visiting is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the Marine City Fire Department.
