Pete, 88, died at 4:25 p.m., at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was a son to Lester Cole and Nellie Eleanor (Albrecht) Winegardner. On Apr 23, 1943, he married Mary Jane Frisinger, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Jane (Gary L.) Kidd, Kenton, and Kathryn Louise "Kathy" (Jack E.) Hites, Lima; a sister-in-law, Barbara Winegardner, Bradenton, FL; twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, V. Warren; three sisters, Dora L. Ford, Alice Marie Haney and Mildred Ellen Richardson; and a granddaughter, two great-granddaughters and a great-great-grandchild.

He had been a truck mechanic at Standard Oil Bulk Plant Co. He was a member of Shawnee Community United Methodist Church. He had been a member Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8832, Roundhead.

Services are at Shawnee Community United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bryan Bucher, officiating and burial military rites by VFW Post 1275.
