On Sept. 7, 1939, he was married to the former Ethel Leota Sayers, who survives. Mr. Hulings worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Clarion for 20 years. He also worked for Knox Glass Company, retiring in 1976. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. Mr. Hulings was an avid high school football fan. He attended the Church of Nazarene in Cranberry RD 1. He had served as president of the union at Knox Glass Company for 17 years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hulings is survived by two sons, Everett E. Hulings of Clarion and Albert W. Hulings of Knox; two granddaughters, Aubrey Hulings and Chelsea Hulings, both of Knox; and a sister, Betty Jane Durante of Bel Air, Md.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Kenneth, Clari, Willis, Paul, Russell, Clyde and Fred Hulings; and two sisters who died at birth, Lucille and Pauline Hulings.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rip Wright, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Cranberry, officiating. Interment will be in the Cedarview memorial Park in Strattanville. The family suggests memorials be made to the Visiting Nurses Association in Knox.
