ANOTHER AGED RESIDENT OF MANCHESTER PASSES
Mrs. Anna Leighton Blevins passed away at 2:30 this (Thursday) morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Emma Chapman in Manchester, after several weeks illness. It was only the last week that her condition was regarded as serious.
She was the daughter of James F. and Nancy Curtis, and was born April 18, 1851 on the Curtis homestead west of Manchester. Her age was 79 years, 4 months, and 11 days.
She was married to John R. Blevins of Manchester, April 1, 1877. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago. Her entire life had been spent in Manchester and vicinity.
One brother S. A. D. Curtis of Fullerton, California, and the following children survive. Mrs. S. G. (Mabel) Sykes, White Hall; George C. Blevins, Woodriver; Mrs. Linnie Horton, Mrs. Emma Chapman and Mrs. C. L. (Florence) Leitze, Manchester. Also four grandchildren, Russell and Anna Frances Chapman, James Russell and Curtis Shirley Blevins.
