MADISON - Mrs. Florence Virginia Purgason Bradshaw, 78, formerly of North Franklin St., Apt. 3J, died Saturday evening, Oct. 7, 2000, at Britthaven of Kernersville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Summerfield Baptist Temple, with interment following in the church cemetery.

She was born June 24, 1922, in Forsyth County, to the late R.T. and Nora Isley Thompson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Fletcher Purgason; and three sons, John Henry Purgason, David Leroy Purgason and Timothy Michael Purgason. She was a member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle.

Survivors include her husband, Junior Stewart Bradshaw of Madison; six daughters, Betty Drye of Summerfield, Barbara Holt of Stokesdale, Peggy Parrish, Brenda Hancock, Pat Purgason, all of Summerfield, Sandy Pegg of Oak Ridge; one son, Jimmy Purgason of Kernersville; one half-brother, Charlie Matthews of Welcome; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ronnie and Brenda Hancock, 3017 Pleasant Ridge Road, Summerfield.
