Ethmer Wear -- or "Ole" as he liked to be called, grew up in Frontier County, Nebraska and moved with his wife Irene to Oregon about the beginning of WWII. His father, John Milton Wear moved at the same time. Irene died in a house fire in 1943, and was interred at Rose City Cemetery. John Milton Wear, Ole's father, passed in 1951, and is nearby. Also nearby are Ole's second wife, Ellen Johnson (2001) and son Darrol Dean Wear and Dean's wife Jerie.
