CLYDE - Richard Earl Dusek, 89 of Clyde, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Clyde Cemetery with Pat Ginn officiating under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Dusek was born August 20, 1916 in Lamesa, Texas to F. J. and Lillian (Loftis) Dusek. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1934 and went on to Officer Candidate School in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He married Dee Dusek on December 6, 1941 in Clyde. They moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1971. Mr. Dusek served in the U.S. Army during WW II and also served for 33 years in the Texas National Guard, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was CEO of Independent Grocers, Inc. for twelve years and had previously worked for the Lipton Corporation. He was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church.
