Betty Elaine Arndt was born on December 29, 1936 in Pleasant Mound Township, Blue Earth County, MN to Carl and Minnie (Klatt) Arndt. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1954. On June 12, 1954 Betty was united in marriage to Edwin "Bud" Norman. She was an assistant office manager for Stokely Van Kamp (United Foods) for 32 years. Betty enjoyed gardening and her flowers, ceramics and getting together with her friends for their birthday lunches. Betty was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Fairmont VFW Auxiliary. Betty died on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN from complications of emphysema and COPD.

Betty is survived by one sister, Ardella Pingeon, Moose Lake, MN; one brother, Waldo Arndt, Sequim, WA; one sister-in-law, Jeanne Tully, Bloomington, MN; one brother-in-law, John Noble, College Park, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Bud"; her parents; and two sisters, Delilah Pingeon and Alma Nordman.
