Gina J. Farmer, 35, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on February 11, 2011. She was born April 17, 1975, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Stephen and Tanya (Bausch) Reaves.

On April 24, 1998, Gina married David Farmer. He survives.

Gina had worked for many years as a Veterinarian Assistant, and very much enjoyed animals. She also enjoyed scrap booking, shopping, and Kansas State athletics. Gina was a dedicated Air Force wife, and cherished the friendships she had made throughout the Air Force. She very much loved her nieces and nephews, and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen; and her grand parents.
Other survivors include her mother, Tanya Stumbo; brother, Darrin Reaves; mother and father in law, Gordon (Denice) Farmer; brothers in law, Brian Farmer and Scott (Laura) Farmer; sister in law, Tammy (Daniel) Pingleton; step father, Gary Stumbo; step sisters, Stacy (Jim) Timmons and Shannon Stumbo; uncles, Jim Reaves and Al Loud; five nieces; and two nephews. She is also survived by her loving pets, Bo, Alyeska, Maggie, Sasha, and Punkin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, Kansas 66610. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Farmer will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
