Aira E. Seyller, 82, of 253 Villa St., Elgin, died Sunday, in St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.

Born May 15, 1893, in Elgin, she was a resident of Elgin for most of her life. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church of Elgin; the Women's Relief Corps and the Royal Neighbors of America.

She was a housekeeper for the YWCA for 25 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Leone) Levey of Elgin; a son, Lyle W. of Woodstock; one sister, Mrs. Frank (DeLilah) Murray of Salinas, Calif., five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Beside her parents (Ernest and Huldah Ahrens) she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1955; a son, Bud; one grandson and four brothers, Thoreau, Thurbern, Theron and William, also a sister, Ethel Winters.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bluff City Cemetery, the Rev. I.H.M. Rognlie, pastor of the American Zion Lutheran Church officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Stout Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge.

Memorials may be made to the organizations of which she was a member.

As of the 1920 census, Aira and Joseph lived in Elgin, IL and had three children: Leone (4-1/2), Forrest (3) and Lyle (1-1/2). Joseph was a farm laborer.
