Soldiers' Home Notes
Alexander Colvert died in the hospital March 10, 1909. He was 82 years of age. The funeral took place from the chapel, Friday afternoon, Rev. McIntire officiating and the interment taking place in Lyon Post cemetery. Three sons, one daughter and a nephew were in attendance, also Dr. Sadler, a son-in-law, from Sulphur, Okla. The deceased served over 38 months in the war as a member of Co. A., 60th Indiana Infantry. His wife died about a year ago, and is also buried in Grand Island.
