Frances Elizabeth Johnson Lockhart passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Diversicare of Ripley. She was born March 9, 1921, to Columbus Martin and Minnie Frances Dees Johnson in Ripley, MS. She was a retired sales clerk for Locke's Drug Store in Ripley and a member of Peoples Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 12, 2018 at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Isbell officiating. Burial will be in Peoples Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2018, at McBride Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue Friday morning at 7:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at McBride Funeral Home.
Frances is survived by one daughter: Joyce Lindsey Payne (Fred) of Plantersville, MS; one son: Sonny Lockhart (Janie) of Falkner, MS; one brother: Wesley Neil Johnson (Sandra) of Chicago, IL; (7) grandchildren: Tim Lindsey (Michele), Kerry Murphy (Allen), Karen Walden (Greg), Kristen Wiggington (Clay), Richie Lockhart (Beth), Recca Elliott (Price), Chad Ross (Amy); (17) great-grandchildren and (2) great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Lockhart of Ripley, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Lee Lockhart; her parents; one son; Tommy Martin Lockhart; six brothers; Eric Johnson, Mark Edgar Johnson, Martin Johnson, Jr., Abe Walker Johnson, Euclid Harold Johnson, Wm. Hale Johnson; four sisters; Effie Lee Moffitt, Ethel Breezley, Anna Smith, Willie B. Blythe.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Lindsey, Wesley Murphy, Jarret Walden, Charles Elliott, Sam Lockhart, Shane Lockhart.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
