Military Theorist, Author. One of the most influential military writers of all time, Clausewitz's work strove to comprehend how Napoleon had been such a successful commander and how he was eventually defeated. Clausewitz's conclusions, elucidated in his best-known book, "On War (Von Krieg)", can best be summed up in his well known dictum that war must be understood as a "continuation of politics by other means."
