HOLLADAY -- Daniel OLSEN, 79, 2100 East 4800 South, died in a Salt Lake rest home Thursday, 4:20 p.m., of cancer. Born December 08, 1879, Ephraim, Sanpete County, to James and Elsie C. Pedersen OLSEN. Married Alice OTTERSTROM February 22, 1904, Manti Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died October 1918. Married Melba STARK, 1920, Salt Lake City. She died 1940. Active in LDS Church. Survivors: daughter, four sons, Mrs. Elaine N. MURRAY, Holladay; Aldan O. Olsen, Salt Lake City; Maurice R. OLSEN, San Diego, California; Daniel L. OLSEN, Kodiak, Alaska; Quincy J. OLSON, Oakland, California; thirteen grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers. Funeral Monday, 10:00 a.m., 260 East Temple South, where friends may call Sunday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday prior. Burial, Ephraim Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society, 176 Social Hall Avenue (39 South).
