Mr. Flanders was born in Lake Shore Park, NH on August 19, 1923 the son of Clinton A.E. and Olive L. (Willard) Flanders.
Forrest served with the U.S Navy, during WWII. He was a Dale Carnegie Graduate. For many years he owned and operated Flanders Jeep Sales and Service in Dalton, he also worked as a service manager at Roberts Motor Sales in Lancaster until his retirement. After retirement he worked at Jebco Groves and Oxbow Golf and Country Club in Labelle, FL, and at the Spaulding Inn in Whitefield.
He served on the Board of Directors at Whitefield Savings Bank and Trust, was a member of the Dalton Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also a licensed Private Pilot, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.
Forrest was a 32 Degree Mason and member of Mt. Lebanon Masonic Lodge # 32, Laconia. He was also a member of the Whitefield VFW post 10675.
Family members include his wife Ruth E. (Denonville) Flanders of Lancaster; three daughters Connie Costello of Whitefield, Joy Kobelt and her husband Michael of Chico, CA and Terri Hollinden and her husband David of Ireland, IN, 5 grandchildren, Olivia Kobelt of San Diego, CA, Gregory Costello of Columbus, OH, Elizabeth Hollinden, Benjamin Brooks, and Rachel Hollinden all of Ireland, IN, two great grandchildren, a sister, Phyllis York and her husband Wallace of Wolfeboro, NH, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by, four sisters and three brothers.
