Born Febuary 20, 1917, in Caddo, Oklahoma, she married Claire "Jabo" Collins October 12, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. They moved to Odessa where they resided for 30 years, moving back to Bryan county 8 years ago. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Billy Ray Adkins of Sargent and Mel Adkins of Amarillo, daughter, Connie Flood of Odessa; four brothers, Raymond Lorance, J.J. Lorance, both of Caddo, Johnny Lorance of Euless, Roy Lorance of Madera, California; five sisters, Lee Weaver of Bokchito, Billie Bishop, Agnes Pendergraff, both of Madera, California, Bessie Childers, Janie Childers, both of Caddo; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
