JAMES CAMPBELL, b. Abt. 1704. Had a son named Hugh Campbell Hugh 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Buchanan, has a son with 1st unknown wife named Robert Campbell.

DAVID ("WHITE DAVID") CAMPBELL, SR., b. 08 March 1705/06, Drumboden, Ireland; d. 17 October 1790, Washington County, Virginia.

ROBERT CAMPBELL, SR., b. 1708, Drumboden, Ireland; d. 24 December 1810, Carter's Valley, Hawkins County, Tennessee.

∼Grissel Grace Hay was born abt 1668 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Grissel was the daughter of Patrick Hay (1650-1723) and Catherine (Gillis) Hay (1651-1727).

Grissel married John Campbell (1674-1741) in Londondenderry, Londondenderry, Ireland (Northern?). He was the son of Duncan Campbell (1645-1725) and Mary (McCoy) Campbell (1648-1689).

John and Grissel Campbell were the parents of the following known children: John, Patrick, Mary, Jane, James, Robert, William, Charles, Margaret, Catherine, Ann and David Campbell. Some on ancestry list these children as well: Martha, Elizabeth and Nesje Campbell.

The Campbell family came to the USA in 1726, settled first in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, then moved to Beverley Manor in Augusta County, VA by 1738.

Grissel Grace Hay Campbell died on 14 Feb 1741 in Augusta, Virginia, United States. She was 73 years of age. Don't know her burial location at this time.
