Mrs. Vina ADAMS was born on September 5, 1859, and departed this life at 10:45 a.m. on November 21, 1945, aged 56 years, 2 months and 16 days at her home in Shattuck.
At the age of 24 years she was united in marriage to Luke McLEMORE. To this union two children were born: Eudell and Vernon. She was preceded in death by her son Vernon and husband Luke. Vernon departed this life March 9, 1919, and Mr. McLEMORE died on April 14, 1920.
On January 23, 1923, she was united in marriage to Mr. U. G. ADAMS at Dustin, Okla. Mr. ADAMS preceded Mrs. ADAMS in death on November 4, 1945.
Mrs. ADAMS was converted at the age of 9, at Millissa, Texas, and united with the First Baptist Church. Mrs. ADAMS moved to Shattuck, Okla., in 1943 from Strong City, Okla. She united with the First Baptist Church here where she was a member at death. She has always been a faithful Baptist.
Left to mourn her departure are three brothers: J. E. MULLINS of Dustin, Okla., Riley MULLINS of Salem, Oregon, and Frank MULLINS of Sherman, Texas; one sister, Mrs. E. E. HICKS of Burkburnett, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Eudell FRITZLER and one grand-daughter Mary Leloa FRITZLER of Shattuck also six stepchildren, several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
