Though her gravestone says she was born in 1900, she was really born in April of 1898, according to the 1900 census, where she is enumerated as a two year old, along with her parents and older brother, Blaine, age 4, and widowed grandmother, Margaret Carner, age 65. (Her April 10, 1898, birth date is also in the Iowa Births and Christening Index 1800-1999, found on FamilySearch)
