Devoted husband of the late Mary Dorlene Warren (nee Hamman) and Dodie Warren (nee Frick); loving father of Tim (Deb) Warren; dear grandfather of Katie and Chris Warren; loving brother of Leonard, Mark, John, and the late Sam, Donald, Clarence, Vera, and Bethel.
Hardy served his country proudly in WWII as a member of the US Army Medical Corps. Following his military service, he graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Hardy moved to Streator, IL where he owned his own veterinary hospital until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of Kiwanis International and also an active member of the West County Kiwanis Club upon his moving to the St. Louis area. He was a longtime volunteer at both St. Luke's and Des Peres hospitals in their palliative care centers. Hardy was special in that he was always in a positive mood, whistling as he went through his day. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all he met.
Services: Funeral Mass at Bethel United Methodist Church, 17500 Manchester Rd., Wildwood, Friday, 12:00 p.m. Interment private . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gambrill Gardens, 1 Strecker Rd., Ellisville, MO 63011, Circle of Concern, 112 St. Louis Ave., Valley Park, MO 63088, or St. Louis Salvation Army, 3949 Forest Park Ave, St Louis, MO 63108.
