Lara Louvada Jones was born June 7, 1900 and died June 6, 1970, being 60 years, 11 months and 29 days old. She was the daughter of Sims and Haley Jane Jones. She was united in marriage to W.E. Branscum, July 15, 1919 and to this union was born 8 children. 3 preceded her in death.
Survivors are Fordie Branscum, Delta, Jewell Sells, Sherifield Lake, Ohio, Lesty Reeser and Samuel Branscum of Lorain, Ohio, and Willard Branscum of Delta. 21 grandchildren of 4 preceded her in death, and 2 great grandchildren, also a sister, Nannie Jones Roberts.
At the age of 11 she joined the Freedom Baptist Church and later moved her membership to the Clay Hill Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. She leaves a host of relatives to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were conducted on June 7th at the Clay Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Luther Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Rock Spring Cemetery in McCreary County.
