Conductor. Born in Palermo, Italy, he was one of his country's most highly regarded conductors and musical directors. In the 1950s, after many years of performing he stopped performing and concentrated on a teaching career. He lectured conducting attended by students from around the world as well as traveling to other countries himself teaching on the International music scene. Students taught by Ferrara in all courses for more than thirty years resulted in 600 or more reached international levels in classical music. He died in Florence, Italy.
