Monte Blue, 56, of Dumas, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, in Dumas.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church with J. McGaughy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Monte was born on July 14, 1955 in Dumas to J.W. and Glennella Blue. He was a lifelong resident of Dumas and owner/operator of Blue Plumbing. Monte was a Christian. He coached Little League Baseball for many years.

Survivors include his mother, Glennella Blue, of Dumas; a brother, Steve Blue and wife Patsy of Dumas; a sister, Cathy Creel and husband Bub of Proffit, TX; four sons, Cody Blue and wife Holly of Amarillo, Smokey Blue and wife Jordan, Jazz Blue, and Blaze Blue, all of Dumas; a daughter, Kari Mead of Dumas; mother of the sons, Yvonne Blue of Dumas; mother of the daughter, Juanita Whipple of Dumas; and nine grandchildren, Marc, Baylee, Jayten, Ayden, Daelyn, Jaxon, Helen, John and Kotton.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
