Doris J. Emert, 70, Galena, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, in Skaggs Community Hospital, Branson. She was born April 14, 1925, in Middle Sex, Mass., the daughter of Francis and Laura (Barnes) Bates. She was united in marriage on April 7, 1946, in Wichita, Ks., to Harvey Emert.
Doris is survived by: her husband; three sons, Kyle, Springfield, Phillip, and his wife Marilyn, Reeds Spring, and Wayne, Galena; a daughter, Geraldine Taylor, and her husband, Everett, Harrison, Ark.; a brother Francis Bates, Jr., Lynn, Ma.; and twelve grandchildren.
Services were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 27, in Harris, a Cassity Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Ozark, with the Rev. Junior Swadley officiating. Burial followed in Eisenhour Cemetery, Spokane, Mo.
