Roger was born in Saranac Lake NY on September 27, 1942 and grew up in Westport, NY. He graduated from Westport Central School and Central City Business Institute (CCBI) with an Associate's degree in Executive Business Administration and Accounting. After graduation from CCBI he enlisted in the U S Army Reserve. Once his military obligation was complete he returned to Westport and joined the family business as the 3rd generation at E. W. Adams, Inc.
Roger was a member of the American Legion, Past Master of Sisco Lodge #0259, a former member of the Westport Fire Dept, and a lifetime member of the Westport Fish and Game Club.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, fishing on Lake Champlain at a very young age. He loved the Adirondacks, hunting and camping up the Racquette River.
Roger is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Adams, and children Lee Adams and Robin (Keven) Severance, Eight grand children Amanda & Lacey Smith, Haley & Mathew Severance, Aaron & William Adams, Cora & Myra Adams, and a great grand daughter Cora Adams. His sisters Jill Headings & Barbara Harless and brother Carl Tyler and several nieces and nephews. He is pre deceased by his parents Vera and Eldred Adams, daughter Christy Adams and brothers Thomas Tyler and Hugh Tyler,Jr.
