Laura Julia Stephenson, 86, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Lexington Care Center.

Laura was born March 8, 1923 in Lexington, the daughter of William Daniel and Julia Marie Brinquet Lierman. She married Patrick C. Stephenson Jan. 23, 1943 in Lexington.

Laura was co-owner of Pats Army Store for 36 years. She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. She was a member of V.F.W. Post 4052 Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include: her daughter, Shari Kaullen and husband, Gary, of Lexington; two grandsons, Sean Kaullen of Lexington and Kent Kaullen of Grain Valley; two great-grandsons, Tanner Patrick Kaullen and Parker Lee Kaullen.

In addition to her parents, a brother, John William Lierman, and a sister, Marie Louise Lieneke preceded Laura in death.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Friends of the Friendless.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20 at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington.
