Services were held at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapal last Thursday for James Homer West, 70, of Bragg City who died at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital on Friday, February 18.
The Rev. Fred Boren officiated and burial was in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens.
Mr. West was born December 16, 1895 at Newport, Ark. and moved to Missouri in 1932. On April 12, 1914 at Clover Bend, Ark., he was married to Miss Leona Decker, who died in January 1935.
On June 20, 1935, at Kennett he was married to Miss Lula Guise, who survives. He also leaves five sons, Melvin, Cecil, Wallace, William L. and Ewing West; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Bryant and Mrs Irene Girton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Bertie Jan Johns; half sister, Mrs. Fannie Hibbard, 37 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
