Jeffrey was born August 26, 1947 at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, MD. He passed away April 21, 1991 in Raleigh, NC. He left behind his wife of 15 years, Linda Joyce Hester Theys, 2 children, Sherrie Heather Theys and Jeffrey Allen Theys, II.

Jeffrey was a veteran of the US Navy and served on a submarine during the Vietnam Conflict.

From the age of 2, Jeffrey grew up in the Raleigh area, at what would become lovingly known as the Theys Family Farm. During his childhood, the farm hosted all sorts of livestock. Jeffrey was an avid member of 4H because of this. Following in his father's footsteps, he joined the US Navy and became a submariner.

After returning home from the Navy, Jeffrey worked his way up at the family company, Clancy and Theys Construction, and eventually held the title of Vice President.

He became ill in the mid 80's.

Unfortunately, Jeffrey was not able to see his children grow to adulthood and become parents, however, his teachings and morals live on in his daughter and son and are being passed down to their children as well.
