She was one of 7 children.My mom Ollie Sellwood Lanigan was named after her. She may have been born in Nashville, Tenn as that is where her parents were married in 1863. Her other sibblings were all supposedly born in Iowa.

Mrs. Ollie Myers, daughter of Mary & John McCarty was born in Keosaqua, Iowa on January 28, 1864 (paper said she was born 1861)and departed this life at her home on August 15, 1937 @Mt. Zion Iowa at the age of 76 y 7m & 13 ds.

She married James P. Myers on October 24,1885. 12 children were born to this union. Zion, Iowa::::Clyde & Lillie Myers at home. One grandchild::Jennie (Daughter of Lillie Myers) There were 21 grandchildren & 5 G. Grandchildren. Three brothers, Tom McCarty of Ottumwa (THOMAS), John McCarty of Ottumwa & Mike McCarty of Mt. Zion. One sister Mrs. Nellie Jones of Ottumwa (wife of Alonzo Jones)and a host of nieces & nephews.

She united with the Presbysterian church in 1915. Mr James Myers, husband proceeded her in death February 22, 1931.
She was a kind and loving mother. She will be greatly missed by her family, neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 27 at her home. Rev. C. Hugo Orf of Keosaqua, officiated. Interment was Purdom cemetery. Obit sent to me by my 2nd cousin Margie MOUGHLER of Ottumwa, Iowa.
