"Harriet Reynolds, widow of Theron Rissell, died at Hartwick Saturday morning about 6 o'clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cassius Mathewson, from the effects of an attack of grip she suffered some six weeks ago. The funeral services were held on Thursday at 2 p. m., the Rev. C. M. Adams officiating and interment was made in the village cemetery. The deceased was born June 16, 1837, on the farm now occupied by Charles Young in the town of New Lisbon and was the daughter of Stephen Reynolds and Maloney Jacobs being one of a family of twelve children. She married Mr. Bissell some sixty-five years ago and she has been practically a lifelong resident of Hartwick. Her husband died October 24, 1908. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Mathewson of Hartwick, at whose home she died, and Mrs. Delos Robinson of Oneonta; by one brother, Albert Reynolds of Flycreek; one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Van Wormer of South Edmeston; a half brother, Edgar Reynolds of Oneonta; a half sister, Mrs. Laura Grommons of Utica; one granddaughter, Mrs. William Ridley; and a great grandson, Ford Ridley, both of Hartwick."
