Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 194, Lot 29011
Lucy's name was never inscribed on the family monument—possibly because she was predeceased by her husband and only child, leaving no one to see to the inscribing. She was interred here March 1, 1907. According to the NY Times, she died Feb 26 at her home, 1489 Pacific Street, Brooklyn (the house no longer stands). She was the widow of Dr. Linus Brockett, whose remains were apparently moved here from a previous grave almost 2 and a half years after his death. His burial date is recorded as May 4, 1895. Their only child, Arthur, memorialized on the stone, does not appear in the cemetery's online database (which is incomplete). He may or may not actually rest here.
