He attended the Alva School System and started working for Buck Knabe where he learned to be a brick mason.
On July 20, 1990 he was married to Tammy Freeman in Alva. To their marriage three children, Tashanda, Tara and Tiana, were born.
Following their marriage they made their home in Alva where he worked in construction as a brick mason.
On January 2, 2004 he was married to Dawn Haight in Cherokee, Oklahoma and they made their home in Alva.
He attended the Bible Baptist Church.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Williams; two grandfathers, Lawrence Cunningham and Tom Ross.
Tom is survived by his three daughters, Tashanda Ross, of Weatherford, Tara Ross, of Clinton and Tiana Freeman of El Reno; four grandchildren, DeZhanae Simmons, TreShon, TaLeya and TeJare Neal; his mother Sherry and his father Bill Ross, both of Alva; two sisters and their husbands, Shelly and Glenn Cushenbery and Kim and Don Penrod; a brother Billy all of Alva; and his grandparents Pearl and Dale Shelton of Enid; two nieces and two nephews, Dala and Devon Cushenbery, Nathan Ross and Ariel Penrod; special friend Teresa Altobella and her children; other relatives and friends.
