H. Roy Ahlgrim, 86, of Ellijay Community (formerly of Clearwater, Fla.) died at his residence Tuesday, Nov. 23, after declining health. He was the son of the late Frank and Inda Dove Stewart Ahlgrim. He was an auto dealer and worked for the railroad during the time of World War 1. He was a member of Franklin Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he advised as a deacon.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m., at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Elders Francis Bush and Tom Schroer will officiate and burial will be in Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.


Surviving are his wife, Vida R. Ahlgrim, of the home; one daughter, Dorothy Garner of Takoma Park, Md., two step-daughters, Yvonne Ashcraft of St. Helena, Calif., and Novella Cain of Takoma Park, Md.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
