Elizabeth "Beth" Green Ovard was born in American Fork to Erastus and Emily Adamson Green. Beth was baptized in the LDS Church at age eighteen.

She married her sweetheart, Wyman J. Ovard, on September 6, 1942; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed more than sixty-nine years together, mostly in Murray, Utah.

Beth enjoyed traveling with her family, and she took great joy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was faithful in her church service and particularly loved visiting teaching.

Survived by husband; children, Sharon (Reed) Williams, Kay (Lisa) Ovard, and Scott (Claudia) Ovard; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Ward Chapel at 5735 South Fashion Boulevard. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), and one hour prior at the church on Friday.
Interment: American Fork Cemetery.
