Funeral services for Garrett Elliott Jenkins, 85, pioneer Tacoma building contractor, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from Buckley-King chapel, with the Rev. I.G. Shaw officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View burial park.
Jenkins died Saturday at the family home, 821 E. Harrison. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he came to Tacoma from Borden, Indiana, in 1901. He retired in 1933. He was a member of McKinley Park Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Clyde L. and Noble J., both of Tacoma; three daughters, Mrs. Berta Brown of Portland, Mrs. Edith Jones of Fresno, California, Mrs. Happy Embree of the home; and five grandchildren.
