Roderick D. Cropper, 89, of Florence, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at his residence. He was a retired Diesel Mechanic for Penn Central Railroad, a WWII Army Veteran (serving in the Battle of the Bulge), a member of Christ Chapel Church, a member of the Ralph Fulton VFW Post (#6423) in Elsmere, and a former Mason. Mr. Cropper enjoyed spending time with his friends at Camp Turnabout, tinkering with projects, and various sports. He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Craycraft Cropper, sons, Dennis Cropper of West Chester, OH, Daniel Cropper of Elsmere, Timothy Cropper of Amelia, OH; daughter, Beth Ann (Mark) Lostutter of Union, KY; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY.
