Edith Elinior “Sissy” Cunningham, age 74 of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.
She was born in Coffee County, Tennessee on October 21, 1940 to the late Clarence Ellis and Rachel Olivine (Smith) Holt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cunningham; and great-granddaughter, Molly Mae Hankins. She is survived by sons, Eddie (Marta) Cunningham of Lynchburg, Ricky (Lisa) Cunningham of Shelbyville, and Tony (Brenda) Cunningham of Normandy; daughters, Debbie (Frankie) Rutledge and Becky (Chris) Byrom, both of Lynchburg; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and special friend, Rudy Prater of Lynchburg.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Wednesday at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Jennings-Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Willie Brunoski officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Hill Cemetery.
